ST. LOUIS - On 9/11, hundreds of volunteers came together at Chaifetz Arena for the first annual St. Louis 9/11 Day of Service meal pack event. More than 250,000 meal packs were created to be distributed by the St. Louis Area Foodbank to help those struggling with food insecurity. In honor and remembrance, H.E.R.O.E.S. Care provided volunteers and their massive banner alphabetically listing the names and ages of all who perished on that day.
"Sometimes great goodness can come from great tragedy', remarked Jon Jerome, president and CEO of H.E.R.O.E.S. Care. "It is our honor to be part of this meaningful initiative."
