St. Louis, MO: Since 2003, the Fenton, Missouri based national charity H.E.R.O.E.S. Care has been serving the troops and their families through a host of programs designed to mitigate the negative factors associated with military service. Quietly and behind the scenes, this dedicated group has provided material, financial, and other critical support to more than 200,000 military and veteran families. Now Charity Navigator, one of the world's leading charity 'watchdog' organizations, has assessed their financial performance and transparency.

"It's clear that Americans love, respect, and honor our troops", reports Charity Navigator on their website. "In fact, people donate more than $2.5 billion annually to the over 40,000 American charities with military related missions. We've curated a list to help identify highly rated charities that have demonstrated financial responsibility as shown on their public filings. These organizations provide various services from lifting troops' morale to financial assistance for food, rent, utilities, and medical expenses."

Many thousands of individuals, companies, and organizations rely on Charity Navigator to help them make informed decisions regarding their charitable donations.

"Of the more than 40,000 military charities in the Nation, only 43 are highly rated by Charity Navigator", remarked Dave Woolley, executive vice president of H.E.R.O.E.S. Care. "We are honored to be one of these 43 charities."

Those interested in learning more are invited to visit Charity Navigator at www.charitynavigator.org and enter the word 'veterans' in the search box to view the list of highly rated military support charities.
