Letters from the Troops

From Various members on 12/20/2009

To Whom It May Concern:

Recently I have become subjected to the hardships that have faced so many in the past year or more. Never before did I see myself needing or receiving help from any organization.

After several discussions with family, my caring husband and my children, it was determined I (we) needed to swallow our pride and look for contributions. As difficult as it is, we started seeking the assistance we needed.

Embarrassed, I called the Missouri National Guard office in St Louis and was directed to Kary Terrio.

I am grateful for her professional and caring demeanor as well as the readily available assistance from the soldiers that work that same location.

My name and situation remains anonymous and with my husband being a Guard member, receiving assistance from the National Guard has made my sense of shame more bearable.

We are very appreciative for all you have done.

Thank you.
Dear Operation Homefront,

I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you for your support during this holiday season. The holidays are always a stressing time for our family. Adding step-children makes our budget very tight. I appreciate all that you do to support our military, and will be forever thankful.
To Operation Homefront,

Thank you so much for your generosity and kindness. Your thoughtfulness and remembrance of our sacrifices honor us deeply. Thank you for bringing our family together in a stress free atmosphere. Your thoughtfulness means more than words can say.

Thank you,
Air Force Wife
To all involved,

I would like to sincerely thank each and every one of you. In these hard times, your efforts to continue supporting us, is such a blessing. It`s hard as a father supporting a family and telling your children we`ll have to wait another payday for milk or bread or whatever. Being able to support my family without having to feel bad about it is great. You don`t know how much your support has supported me.

I can`t thank you enough. Thank you all!!!
Thank you so much for the food donations to our food pantry. It has been a Godsend to our family with me being a single parent.

All of your help and support is greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your generosity during the holiday season and especially throughout the year when giving isn`t at the forefront of everyone`s mind. Your help has helped me and many of my soldiers feed their families during these hard economic times.
I want to thank Kary and the FRG and the food pantry for providing my family with food and supplies we could not live without and cannot afford. All I can say is having Kary and the food pantry here keeps my family going where without we would be very much suffering. She is great and always makes me feel like family.

Thank you kindly.
Thank you very much for your support of the troops, it is appreciated and needed. Our holidays will be that much brighter for the gifts you have given us.
To Operation Homefront,

Many thanks for all your donated food stuffs and household supplies. It is gratifying to see how a company like yours helps soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines who might be in need.
Thank you for the support you give us all. A little bit of food goes a long way for my family. The thought is Huge!! I have a 6 year old daughter who means the world to me and by your helping me it allows me to help her.
To Whom It May Concern:

During these hard times, I would like to take this time to share my appreciation to the St Louis Food pantry run by the Missouri National Guard.

My family and I would like to extend a special thanks for assisting in making this Thanksgiving a better one in providing required items for a full and complete meal.

Again, thank you very much.
Dear Kary and Jon,

Thank you for all your help and services that you do for the National Guard. It is very much appreciated. Thank you again for everything.
