Letters from the Troops

From Clayton on 11/28/2009

Sometimes it`s the little things done right at the right time that make all the difference...

Clayton was set to deploy on November 17th and busy with all of the expected last-minute preparations to be away from his wife and child. On November 16th the plumbing backed-up in his home. Now, instead of spending one last day of quality time with his family, he would be forced to deal with an unexpected crisis. Where would he find a plumber he could trust? How would he cover this expense? Money was already tight with a second child on the way. Then he remembered H.E.R.O.E.S. Care and Operation Homefront. Clayton made one call and a reputable plumber arrived quickly to take care of the problem. Thanks to a caring donor, the cost was covered. Clayton writes:

We are grateful and glad you guys can help. There aren`t a lot of people willing to do what you guys do anymore and I appreciate it all. You have no idea the kind of relief that I have knowing that if something goes wrong at home, my wife has someone to turn to. Thank you very much. I hope to be able to stay in touch...
